Katie is an Associate at ParkFowler Plus. She brings over 15 years of dynamic experience to PFP in the architectural profession from her projects which include K-12 schools, commercial interiors, community centers, and museums. Katie has a Bachelor of Arts in Art History degree from University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she was recipient of the Morgenstern Scholar Fellowship and the Perkins + Will Scholarship Award. Additionally, she was an Adjunct Assistant Professor for IIT’s Experiment in Architecture Program.
Katie is a detail oriented and empathetic designer who seeks to create spaces that enhance her client’s daily lives and improve their quality of life. Her architectural experience is paired with past work as an assistant curator in a museum, fabricating & installation of large gallery exhibitions, complemented by volunteering in community outreach organizations like ACE Mentor and (re)fortify.
At the firm, Katie leads the Materials Committee and outside of the office, Katie is the current Co-Chair of AIA Chicago’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee, working to advocate for increased belonging within the architectural profession. In addition, she is a certified Social Economic Environmental Design (SEED) professional.
