Junior to Mid-Level Architect / Architectural Designer, 3-8 Years of Experience
We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Architect / Architectural Designer with 3-8 years of experience with a desire to work on a variety of project types and contribute their talents and looking for a lasting position to grow with a design-focused firm.
Required Experience in the Field:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required.
- High degree of proficiency in Revit is required.
- Experience with renovations and/or interior architecture preferred.
- Has completed a full-design process and documentation for at least one project (Schematic, Design Development and Construction Documents). Comfortable with architectural drawing set standards and organization. Has experience completing redlined drawings.
- Ability to understand, review, and coordinate consultant drawings.
- Basic understanding of local building codes and accessibility requirements.
- Familiarity with construction administration processes, including responding to RFI’s, preparing sketches and addendums (CCD’s), visiting the construction site to gather information and/or preparing a punch list.
- Proficiency in Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software such as Lumion or vRay is desirable, but not required.
- Licensure is not required, but desirable.
- Candidates must be living in the Chicagoland area and be able to commute to office.

Marketing & Studio Operations Assistant, Min. 3 Years of Experience
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing & Studio Operations Assistant with at least 3 years of experience. This full-time, hybrid role is built for someone who is interested in aligning creativity and communication with administration and operational acumen to support a design-focused firm.
Working directly with Studio Leadership and the Marketing Advisory Committee, this role will be responsible for the management of the general studio functions and support of marketing efforts, including driving firm awareness, building brand recognition, tracking business development, and producing marketing content and deliverables to bolster these efforts. This position requires superb organization and management of multiple projects with differing deadlines and timelines.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter that: anticipates needs before they’re voiced, exercises discretion and diplomacy, and brings a design sensibility to everything from the materials library to a project proposal.
The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Marketing Assistant (50%):
Build firm awareness, support studio growth, and uphold graphic identity and design excellence by working directly with Studio Leadership and the Marketing Advisory Committee.
- Proposal & Interview Support: Coordinate and produce high-quality proposals, presentations, and submission materials; capture new data obtained during procurement process to maintain a current and accurate portfolio
- Collaborator Coordination: Perform outreach to other consultants or team members; gather and organize materials for integration into proposals; research and maintain list of local and national consultants for potential teaming opportunities
- Content Creation: Assist with the production of firm-wide materials such as brochures, presentations, and project sheets, upholding and refining best-practices to ensure accuracy and consistency
- File & Folder Manager: Maintain clear and intuitive folder structures and work with the larger team to store and locate files and materials
- Forecast Management: Forecast and regularly maintain a firm-wide marketing calendar of deadlines, events, conferences, and speaking engagements
Executive Assistant (25%):
Support the Studio Leadership by protecting their time, anticipating their needs, and handling sensitive information with a significant level of discretion.
- Calendar Ownership: Manage calendars for the Studio Leadership by filtering requests, resolving conflicts, and protecting focus time, while coordinating alongside the broader studio
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and confirm internal/external meetings; assign and filter meeting rooms by size and need; manage and organize full staff meetings; coordinate staff events, catering needs, and Lunch-and-Learn programming (with leadership); support AV/IT needs
- Inbox & Correspondence Support: Help prioritize correspondence and track follow-ups (as needed) to help keep Studio Leadership ahead of deadlines; daily management of the studio email inboxes
- Discretion & Confidentiality: Handle exposure to sensitive data appropriately; reconcile business expenses and corporate cards
- Anticipatory Support: Proactively flag needs before they are asks with the ability to maintain composure amidst shifting priorities
Studio Manager (25%):
Maintain the polished and professional environment of the physical studio and keep the studio operation functions running smoothly. Prepare for and support the coordination of the upcoming office move.
- Onboarding Coordination: Manage new employee setup including, desk assignment, business card creation/facilitation, information capture, and office orientation
- Office Supply Management: Own the inventory and replenishment of office supplies
- Materials Library: Maintain and organize the materials library, upholding and refining studio systems and standards, and updating products and materials as needed
- Office Move Coordination: Work closely with Studio Leadership to support the logistics and transition plan for an upcoming relocation
- Guest Coordination: Work with the larger studio to coordinate and greet guests/visitors as needed, ensuring registration, access, and check-in coordination
General Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar settings or roles within an Architecture or Engineering firm
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, including but not limited to Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design
- Knowledge of Architecture or Engineering marketing strategy, business development, and proposal processes (RFQs/RFPs)
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- A joyful and proactive approach to problem-solving
- A design sensibility and an appreciation for thoughtful architecture, art, and culture
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Acrobat, and Photoshop
- Willingness to attend events related to the growth of the firm, including conferences, workshops, classes, etc. Occasional travel may be required.
