A niche craft cocktail bar on the North side of Chicago, Tiny Lounge is designed to elevate the craft of cocktails through attention to detail.
The new Tiny demonstrates a straightforward solution for the multiple design considerations of a cocktail lounge that include preserving some of the sensibilities of the previous lounge. Simplicity and comfort make this bar feel like a time-honored classic, while subtle elements of design and technology create a contemporary environment – one that is both functional and inviting.
Some of the original booth seating is reused and reupholstered, surrounded by millwork that consists of stacked plywood on edge, laid up in varied depths and widths. The result is a linear, irregular pattern – a machined process resulting in a handcrafted effect.
